Industrial Assessment Center San Diego State University's Industrial Assessment Center (aka Energy Analysis and Diagnostic Center) facilitates productivity improvements of small and medium-sized manufacturing facilities in San Diego through increased energy efficiency, waste minimization and operations efficiency.

Research Centers

National Institute of Standards and Technology: NIST has established an Engineering Design Laboratory to assist in determining the best practices and methods to design new products and processes.

Consortium on Green Design and Manufacturing: Current CGDM projects focus on issues of national and multi-national interest in engineering, management strategy and policy.

Design Methodology Group: Research efforts target two main areas in the product realization process, namely: design methodology/optimization and more recently, rapid prototyping and virtual reality for design.

Texas A&M Computer Aided Manufacturing Laboratory: The TAMCAM is a consortium of projects undertaken by the Texas A&M Computer Aided Manufacturing Laboratory. These projects deal with the design, analysis, operation and control of Manufacturing Systems.
